Cosway Street School

Class 4a 1960

I went to Cosway Street School leaving in 1960. I spent a year at Regent's Park Central after which we were transferred to the newly built Sarah Siddons School for Girls in Paddington Green.

This is a photograph of Class 4A in 1960 before we all left to go to senior school.

Does anyone recognise themselves or anyone else in the class?

Hi Linda,

I rather think that the sixth from the right on the first row of seated girls is me! I think the blond boy sat cross-legged on the front row is George Salmon and the girl with the plaits behind him could be Janet Atkinson. I remember how beautifully you could knit - unlike my gnarled and knotty attempts! The other names I remember (but can't fit to faces in the photo) are Stanley Lomond, Michael Little, Sheridan Whimble and Sadie Jennings. Thanks for sharing the photo!
