My name is Jean Blanchard (nee Walker), my Mother's maiden name was Metcalfe. I lived with my Mum and Dad (Jo and Bert)and brother (John Walker d.o.b. 27 May 1943) at 28 Daventry Street.  I was born in 1947 and started school at Cosway Street Infant and Primary School. I moved on to Regent's Park Secondary School for a year and then onto Sarah Siddons Comprehensive School in Paddington Green until July 1964 when I left school. Church Street was our local market along with the stalls on Bell Street.  I worked in Jordan's Departmental store in the Toy Department on a Saturday for a couple of years probably from 1962/63 until 1964.  Does anyone remember me?  Be delighted to hear from you!

Yes Jean Walker, my old friend. I met you at Regents Park Secondary School .We were in Class 1 East then 2 East and what good friends we all were and fun we all had until we were moved somewhat reluctantly to Sarah Siddons School where sadly we were all split up into different classes. I have very happy memories of school especially Regents Park. Does anyboody else remember us?

Just read your story. You must know my dad and his family, Georgie Southam. He was born at 28 Daventry Street.  After marrying my mum they moved into 31 Daventry Street where we all lived until 1968. 

My dad's Aunt Flo lived second floor at 28 with her brother bill.

My Aunty Lil and Frank and son Roy lived at 25.

My Aunty Rita Dennis and two sons Terry and Kevin lived at 29. 

Aunty liz and Earnie lived above us at 31. I have so many childhood memories. 

I'm sitting thinking of all the lovely times. 

Mum loved what she called her rooms. I can picture her now sitting on the window ledge cleaning her windows.  She always told me "you can always tell a person by their windows". How true she turned out to be.

We lived at 38 Daventry Street then moved to 33 Cooper House.

Our parents names were Eddie & Liz Pile with seven children.
