When We Were Younger

By Marion Metcalfe Now Manfield

I was born and lived in Bowmans Buildings - Penfold Place from 1943 to 1963. My father was Tom, known as Nick, and mother was Lucy. I left to live in Plaistow and then Cornwall.  I was schooled in St Edward's and St George's, Maida Vale. Anybody remember me? Sounds like a song! Marion

I remember your family David. Your dad Jim and your Mum Nelly. You lived in Kennet House? My mum and dad were Bob and Joyce Pearce. Your dad was Songster leader and mine was Deputy Songster leader. I remember a fire when your Mum's feet got burnt. And the Austin A35 your dad drove.
